A cultural event: Morad Bouchakour's new photo exhibition

Our high school friend
Morad celebrated the first year of his new agency Inn with an exhibition of his pictures and those of his partner Marcel. Morad photographed Johnny Depp for GQ, I blogged about it
earlier this year.

Usually not a fan of finger good, but this was really good.

I thought this dj was part of some theatrical performance, but the guy was actually serious. When he noticed I took this picture, he started scratching and making faces. And oh yeah, I love the shades.

The exhibit is in
Duncan's basement, a 3000 square feet atrium built into his garden, right on the Prinsengracht.

Morad and Marcel had put up a wall of work they did not create themselves, but are inspired by. A very nice gesture.

A fuzzy picture because I cracked up when I took it. I ran into an old friend, photographer
Michael Ferron, with his lady Esmee and their four kids. We met on a skivacation ten years ago and Michael and I got so lost in a snow storm, we ended up skiing *uphill* and almost died laughing. When I took the picture world famous photographer
Erwin Olaf jumped in the shot (with the red Coke t-shirt) next to Morad. All in all a great evening with a surprise: Morad will be a dad in four weeks. And nice to see that Michael is still crazy. He once photographed me for de Volkskrant in a pink blow up rowboat, in the shape of a Cadillac. In traffic.
